Various government agencies and NGOs are building up their efficiencies in dealing with crisis situations. Even farmers’ organizations and civil society organization are ready to come forward to put their helping hands in such disaster situations. However yet there are some critical missing links that we need to address.

Jaya slams Centre for delaying cyclone funds

February 4, 2012, Chennai: Chief minister J. Jayalalithaa on Friday took potshots at the Centre, stating that it delayed funds for Thane cyclone relief work till the state issued an advertisement seeking funds from generous citizens.
